Dear Readers,
It's been a chilly winter. I
hope you've been able to snuggle up inside
a warm spot in your home with a good, captivating
book! There are a lot of great reads to choose
from!
A lot has happened since my last
letter. In June, my husband, mother-in-law,
sister-in-law, and I went to Ireland. It was
a dream come true for me, and I loved it! Ireland
was just as I thought...the people were warm
and gracious, the landscape gorgeous, and the
food wonderful. I am longing for the day when
I can return to the Emerald Isle. I got a lot
of great story ideas!
In November, we played host to
the Young Americans. We housed 5 of the 40
who came to our local high school. They are
a music outreach group who do workshops with
the kids and then perform alone and with the
students. We enjoyed having them. And the show
was a good one.
On a sad note, we lost our dog
Montana the day after the Young Americans left.
She was a Siberian Husky mix who was with us
for over 10 years. A pound puppy who we believe
was about 13, Montana had been sick for the
last weeks of her life. Besides
other health conditions, she had become diabetic
and I gave
her insuline shots twice daily until we knew
it was time for her to be painfree and happy.
We miss her terribly. She was a wonderful,
beloved companion, and we couldn't have asked
for a better dog. I will never ever forget
her. My love for her has only made me long
to help another rescue dog, so when the weather
warms, I'll be looking for another dog to love.
This October I'll be walking
in the 3-Day Breast Cancer walk in Philadelphia.
As a member of a team, I'm committed to raising
$2,300 and walking 60 miles over a 3-day period.
I'm currently training for the walk which will
not be an easy journey but it will be a worthwhile
one. If you'd like to help me fight breast
cancer, you
can do
so

which will take you to my 3-day.org breast
cancer fundraising page. I want to see the
disease eradicated. I know too many women who
have suffered from breast cancer. Too many
women and men get it every year. Let's put
an end to it!
Take care of yourselves! I wish
you all good health, happiness, and prosperity...
Until next time....
With warm regards,
Candace
